We’re on a mission to enrich the lives of our patients through vibrant arts, engaging education, and a celebration of our heritage.
Remember the incredible spirit we witnessed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic? We’re keeping that alive with our groundbreaking arts programme.
Our brand-new hospital is not just a medical facility; it’s a canvas for art, photography, sculpture, videos, sound installations, and more! Join us in our gallery space in the Winter Garden, where we’ll co-create a cultural haven through community involvement, exhibitions, performances, and workshops.
Previously we hosted ‘Abundance’ at City Hospital, a sustainable garden commissioned to celebrate the Birmingham Commonwealth Games; and it celebrated nature in all its glory. Sunflowers, shrubs and plants were spread around in planters made from recycled materials.
The inclusive garden play area was designed for children and adults alike to enjoy a moment of calm amid the hustle and bustle of daily life in Birmingham.
Join us in an extraordinary public art project, Newborns, by Julian Germain, in collaboration with New Art West Midlands, community arts organisations Multistory based in Sandwell, and Grain in Birmingham. This year-long ‘live art project’ will capture the essence of babies born in our new hospital.
Become a part of a nationally significant arts and culture programme! We invite you to explore sponsorship and investment opportunities to co-design, create, and celebrate at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
