At Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, we are passionate about ensuring those who work for us feel supported and empowered to raise concerns to enable learning and improvements.
Our Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) guardians are embedded throughout the Trust to ensure staff have access to guardians, as and when they require such support.
Guardians are supported by FTSU Lead Jamil Johnson, Executive Lead Dr Mark Anderson and Non-Executive Director Lead Val Taylor.
If you have worked for Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust and have left the organisation but wish to discuss a concern, please contact us on swbh.freedom-to-speak-up-guidance@nhs.net
Here are two Freedom to Speak Up Guardians talking about their roles:
Harpal Tiwana – Harpal works in Primary Care, Community and Therapies as a Service Manager.
Sandra Kennelly – Sandra works in the community as a Clinical Team Leader/Occupational Therapist with Community and Therapies.
