Get advice about healthcare careers

Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust is offering young people the chance to gain advice about working in the health service at careers events.

The events, which will be held at Millennium Point, Atrium, Curzon Street, Eastside, Birmingham B4 7XG on the 4th August 10.00am – 15.00pm and at Connexions Sandwell, West Bromwich, Princess Parade, High Street B70 7QX on the 20th August 10.00am – 15.00pm, will give students and school leavers the chance to talk to a range of healthcare professionals and ask questions about their chosen career.

Steve Smith, Community Membership Administrator, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people in Sandwell and Birmingham to speak to healthcare professionals on a one to one basis to learn about a typical day in the life of their job.”

The professions highlighted at the Birmingham event are Practice Development Nurse, Health Care Assistant, Senior Hotel Service Manager, Specialist Midwife-Teenage Pregnancy, Learning and Development roles, Senior Clinical Scientist, Capital Project Manager and Medical Photographer.

Attending the West Bromwich event there will be a Midwife, Graphic Designer, Pharmacist, Capital Project Manager, Cardiac Physiologist, Clinical Scientist, District Nurse, Clinical Technology Manager, and a Learning and Development Trainer.
