Maternity bosses at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust have launched a recruitment drive to hire 10 international midwives.
The Trust is offering a relocation package worth £10,000 to each midwife who is employed.
Each must meet certain requirements, which include being able to interpret Electronic CardioTocography, also known as CTG monitoring and in a position to relocate to the UK in December.
Jade Hellier, Deputy Head Of Midwifery said: “The Trust is an experienced international employer, having already relocated and supported 20 international midwives to our service over the past 18 months.
“We are now searching for the next group of midwives and are offering an amazing relocation package.
“Midwives will be supported to work in all area, including the delivery suite, our award-winning birthing unit Serenity, antenatal and postnatal wards, as well as in the community.
“This is an exciting opportunity as in 2024, the Trust will be opening its new hospital – the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, which will house an ultra-modern maternity unit.
“We are big supporters of equality, diversity and inclusion, and want to ensure that each and every employee feels valued and included within our teams.”
