New Year, New You: Trust holding major nursing recruitment event

9th Jan 2020

To welcome the new year, a West Midlands healthcare Trust is to hold a major recruitment event for nurses, nursing associates at band 5 and above. Student nurses are also invited to learn more about how the Trust can help with their future plans.

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs the Sandwell, City and Rowley Regis hospitals and will run the future ‘super-hospital’ Midland Met, are looking for caring, compassionate and self-motivated nurses who want to help achieve the organisation’s goal of providing the best in patient care.

Taking place at the Birmingham Treatment Centre on Saturday, 18 January 2020 between 10am and 4pm departments from across the Trust will be on hand to discuss what they do and how they can help new colleagues achieve their career goals and make a difference. Vacancies within Medicine and Emergency Care, Surgical Services, Primary Care, Community and Therapies, and Women’s and Child Health departments are all available with interviews taking place on the day for those who wish to apply. Those candidates who are successful will be given an on-the-spot job offer.

As well as learning about the various teams, attendees will also be able to see the additional benefits on offer when joining Sandwell and West Birmingham’s nursing team, including family-friendly flexible hours, bespoke training and accelerator programmes, fee support for newly qualified nurses, relocation packages and more.

Chief Nurse Paula Gardner said: “A new year often means resolutions for a new you, new starts and new opportunities. We’d like to invite all nurses, nursing associates and student nurses looking for a first opportunity or a new start to join us at the BTC on January 18th and find out more about the work our dedicated nursing team does and how you can be a part of it.  We can’t wait to help you achieve your goals as part of the SWB family.”
